RIAG – WHERE CREATIVITY TAKES SHAPE

Art at RIAG is a space for curiosity, imagination and self-expression. Students are encouraged to explore ideas, experiment with materials and develop the confidence to create work that is increasingly personal to them.

From drawing, painting and colour theory to printmaking, collage, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media; students experience a wide range of techniques. They study artists and artistic traditions from different periods and cultures, learning how artists communicate ideas before experimenting, adapting and developing ideas of their own.

Alongside technical skill, we want our girls to learn to look closely, reflect upon what they see and appreciate the colour, pattern, form and beauty found throughout Allah SWT’s creation.

Every piece tells part of a creative journey – an idea explored, a new technique attempted, an artist discovered or a skill developed! From early experiments and artist studies, to finished pieces; the work that follows offers a glimpse of the creativity taking place in our Art Room.
